Being so close to Christmas this was a great opportunity to add a sparkle of Christmas.
Students made some very tasty German Christmas biscuits, and of course got to eat them at the end of the day.
Students also had the chance to widen their language skills and learnt some Spanish and Polish, which they enjoyed very much. They also learnt about different customs and traditions in other countries which was lots of fun.
Finally in the quiz they were tested about their general knowledge but also their knowledge of European sport, art and food. There was even a food-testing round; the chocolate question was definitely more popular than the Greek foods question, however some students enjoyed trying new food such as cheese or olives!
A big well done to ‘Team France’ who won the quiz at the end of the day!
A big thank you to Year 8 for making it a joyful day and to all staff involved who helped make the day a great success!
